Flowstudio was founded in 1998 after Begg left a 10 year stint as an advertising creative. He worked in Australia and Asia for clients such as Toyota, Mitsubishi, Qantas, Foxtel, Kawasaki and Optus. In that time he also managed to race mountainbikes twice making the Australian National Team and has competing the world over. Flowstudio started by producing custom furniture.
His first pieces were a series of streamlined chairs that formed the backbone of his first exhibition 'Speed'. From here his works have been wide and varied crossing from furniture and product design to sculpture and architecture. His clients have included Beachculture, a surf retailer, Westfields, Virgin, Tooheys and The Big Day Out. His sculptural work has been shown at Sculpture by the Sea in Sydney on Numerous occasions.
Begg divides his time between the studio and workshop where he oversees the production of his objects. His association with Underlabo in Milan came about with his desire to work more closely with Italian Manufacturers, clients and culture. He now divides his time between the two.
